Our Story
Christ Community Church has been a presence in West Philadelphia since 1973, bringing people together around Jesus and cultivating a community rooted in faith, unity, and love. Located in the heart of University City, we believe God has placed us here with a purpose—to be a place where people can encounter Jesus, grow in their faith, and be equipped to carry the light of Christ into the world around them.
In 2022, Pastors Ernest and Sharon Daniels were installed as Lead Pastors. Pastor Ernest was raised and discipled at Christ Community, and today he has the privilege of leading the same church that helped shape his faith.
At Christ Community Church, we believe we gather to scatter—coming together to worship, grow, and be equipped so we can go into our neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and beyond to share the love and hope of Jesus wherever God leads us.
Our Pastors
Pastors Ernest and Sharon Daniels Jr. serve as the Lead Pastors of Christ Community Church, leading with compassion, faith, and a deep love for God’s Word and His people. Together, they are passionate about helping people experience the love of Christ, walk in the freedom found in His truth, and discover the purpose God has for their lives.
With more than 20 years of ministry experience, their lives and leadership have been deeply shaped by the very church they now have the privilege of leading. Pastor Ernest was raised and discipled at Christ Community Church, making their ministry a testament to God’s faithfulness across generations.
Pastors Ernest and Sharon live in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, with their family, including Davier Daniels and his wife, Amaris, Amanda Daniels, and Caitlyn Daniels. Their heart is to see people grow in their relationship with Christ, be strengthened in their faith, and carry the light and hope of Jesus into their homes, workplaces, schools, and communities through their everyday lives.
